Victoria Read, principal of Read & Company, LLC, has twenty years of public affairs experience in Washington, D.C. and London, England, encompassing work with local, national, and international media outlets, in addition to U.S. local, state, and federal agencies, the U.S. Congress, the Parliament, Inter-Parliamentary organizations, and Whitehall.

Ms. Read has worked as an advocate on issues including international trade agreements (NAFTA and GATT), electricity and water deregulation, technology, and taxation. She has successfully directed outreach programs for public, private, and non-profit organizations, including TMP Worldwide, Inc., CAIS Internet, Inc., Milliken & Company, Inc., The Dittus Group, Inc., Citizens Against Government Waste, the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), the Business Software Alliance, Duke Energy, Southern Company, Edison Electric Institute, and the American Electric Power Company (AEP), among others. Ms. Read’s field of specialization incorporates public relations, business development, communications, and government affairs.

Ms. Read holds a B.A. from The American University in International Relations/Communications and European History. She also holds a M.A. from The American University in European History.

She is an Associate Member of the International Council of Public Relations, and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators. Additionally, she is Vice President of The American University Alumnae Association of the UK.
