Trey Barnes is the founder of the firm and serves as its Chairman and Managing Director.  Over the last 10 years, Mr. Barnes has founded and served as a principal in several successful government relations firms in Washington, DC. One of his prior firms was acquired by Cassidy and Associates, the largest government relations entity in Washington, DC.

While at Cassidy, Mr. Barnes served as one of the co-directors of the Technology and Internet practice group, assisting both established and start-up technology companies in securing federal funding and contracts as well as providing strategic advice and advocacy on key policy issues. He has extensive experience in providing public policy and business consulting services to global corporate, public, and non-profit clients. He regularly consults with leading Internet, technology, financial services, health care, transportation, and educational companies and organizations.

Mr. Barnes focuses his public policy work in the areas of the Internet/Technology/ Communications/Intellectual Property, Appropriations/Federal Marketing, Defense, Homeland Security, and Financial Services. 

A Louisiana native, he is a graduate of Louisiana State University and the LSU Law School. Mr. Barnes worked for then United States Senator J. Bennett Johnston (Democrat—Louisiana) while in undergraduate studies at LSU.
